ATC Prompt Easter

Image
Hi everyone, today I want to share another page in my Art Journal that includes an Artist Trading Card.  I finally had a chance to complete the April ATC prompt which is Easter. I thought it would fit nicely on this blank page in my journal.  I started with this scrap of embossed white cardstock. I put versamark ink on the raised part of the my embossing folder and after running it through the machine I added clear embossing powder and then heat set it.  Then I sprayed it with some Color Shine that’s been in my stash for a very long time!  This worked nicely and I just used a paper towel to blot off the colour on the embossing powder.  I grabbed some champagne coloured glitter paper and cut out a pocket using the Artist Trading Coin die set.  I cut out an adorable picture of my newest grandson using the Elizabeth Craft Designs ATC Special Kit die. This die is meant for the label on the back of your cards but works great for other things too! I in...

Project Life, CTMH & Heidi Swapp

Image
I've started to create some Project Life layouts in order to try to catch up a little on my scrapbooking.  I wanted to see if it would be faster and easier and I've got quite a stash now of page protectors and cards. This layout uses Heidi Swapp's really cool pocket pages.  They are larger than 12x12 as you will see below.  Each of these pages has a flip out portion that allows you to add way more photos and journalling.   Don't you just love how much these hold?  I used the CTMH Seaside paper pack and PML cards .  I added a selection of wood embellishments from many different sources.  In order to have them all coordinate together I used the Shin Han touch twin marker in bronze .  I also added some other coordinating colours.   I hope you enjoyed looking and are inspired to make something fun of your own.

Love Layout

This layout turned out so cute.  I wanted to use some pocket cards on the layout.  I decided to use the Cricut Artfully Sent cartridge to cut some custom pocket cards.  Since the pictures on this layout are from a wedding I thought that hearts would be a good theme and there are so many to choose from. The other pocket cards are from Heidi Swapp's Project Life kits.  I'm not really a gold person but I love how this sparkles.  I hope you enjoy.

Card for a Special Friend

Image
I made this card for a special friend to let her know I was thinking of her.  I used Heidi Swapp Hello Today paper and embellishments.  I followed along with Heidi's tutorial to make this unique card and matching envelope.     I love these little acrylic butterflies.  They are so cute and fun to use.    This photo shows the card beside the envelope.  I love how the card just slides into the slot on the envelope so that you can still see most of the embellishments.   These colour shine cards are super cute and I have a stack of them that I am hoping to add into page layouts and who knows what else.
