Craft Room Tour

Image
Welcome to my craft space! I hope you enjoy this look into my craft space.  We recently moved and I had to create a new space for myself that was much smaller than my previous space.  Thanks to a lot of Ikea pieces I was able to do this without difficulty.  You can see all of the details below as well as a video walkthrough at the end of this post. As a trained Interior Designer, I always plan out my moves using AutoCAD and insuring that I know where everything is going to go before our move date.  Of course, that is what I did this time also.  We had decided that my craft space would be part of our basement family room and so I focused on how to best maximize this corner of the room.  I created a "hallway" to my space using two Kallax units. These units hold all of my scrapbooks as well as a few other items.  They also create a nice long counter type space for display and project work space.   One item that I keep on top of these Kallax units ar...

Live Beautifully Mini Book

Image
In honour of National Scrapbooking month Close to my Heart created this stunning paper pack with amazing gold foil images.  I took their pattern for this little mini book and added some additional pages and different embellishments and here is how it turned out. This album was just perfect for my parents honeymoon pictures.  I love how great they look together.  The Live Beautifully  paper is only available until the end of May so don't miss out.

Urban Workshop Layouts

Image
I just love the new Urban collection!  I hope you that you like it as much as I do. I completed the workshop layout.  It can be completed using the Cricut Artistry cartridge.  This new cartridge has some amazing shapes on it, just as you would expect from CTMH.  I love these little badge buttons from the Urban Assortment .  I also completed the second layout from the workshop kit.  Well, it's basically the same layout.  I didn't want to use the peacock cardstock for the background so I switched up the papers.  I really like how the papers compliment the photos.  If you would like to see the instructions, you can find them here .  Below is the CTMH version of the alternate layout.   I hope you enjoyed my layouts.  I'd love to hear what you think about my version of the alternate layout.  Please leave a comment below.

10 Things Part 2

Image
Welcome to Part 2 of my 10 Things project.  I love how this one looks so different from the first but still has the same pocket and Cricut title.  For Nick's layout I choose the retired Game On papers.  I used lots of assorted accessories. Both of these pages will be used for title pages in the boys scrapbooks.  I rarely create single page layouts so when I fill up a scrapbook I have to remember to create a single page for the front and back.  Thanks for looking and I hope you're inspired to create something fun too!

Thank you… now on to our hop!  This month we are featuring the special Taste of Summer paper pack available this month only for National Scrapbooking month.  I don't often create single page layouts but I only had two photos that turned out on this trip so I thought I'd just do a single pa...

10 Things Part 1

Image
I've been hoarding these 10 Things Pockets for quite some time now.  I finally decided it was time to use them.   Since Mitchell is wearing super hero type pajamas in the picture I decided that I would use the retired Superhero paper and rub-ons.  I love how great they look.   I used the CTMH Cricut Artbooking cartridge to cut out the "10 things" title. Stayed tuned for Part 2 of my 10 Things project.

Pirate Party

Image
I'm finally getting around to scrapbooking my son's birthdays from 2012.  Here is my littlest man, Nick at his fourth birthday party.  I had this Karen Foster kit in my stash to use just for this. I used my Cricut to cut out the title and really liked the way it turned out.  It wasn't really the same colours as the pictures but I think it still worked great.  Hope you enjoy.
