Welcome to our monthly team Blog Hop featuring  creative techniques .  If you have just hopped onto my blog, you can start here as this is a circular hop, but if you get lost you can find your way by going to Brae's blog at http://thebrae-er.blogspot.com for a full list of participants. If you came from Rosalynd Kelly's of In My Scrappin' Room  then you are in the right place! We hope that you will take the time to leave comments on our posts, as we love to get feedback from our viewers....whether it was something that you really liked or some new technique that was used that you would like to learn how to do....by leaving us comments, we get to hear what you like, and what you want to see. Thank you… now on to our hop!   I decided to focus this month on CTMH True Fit Folios  to show you how to create a very unique interactive layout.  These folders are designed to be fully inserted into your memory protector and allow you to store memorabi...

Home Decor

Image
I completed this project a little while ago but it took me about a year to get all of the pieces together.  I had this idea for my entry way and I love how it all came together.        It basically started with the mirror and then I decided I wanted family portraits but rather than just putting them in a frame I wanted to frame a scrapbooking layout.      I wasn't sure what I was going to do in the space above the scrapbook frames initially but thought about plaque mounting our hand prints.   Then I found out you couldn't plaque mount more than one piece of paper so that wasn't going to work.  I ended up finding these frames on clearance at Michael's and they filled the space nicely.  There was quite a bit of trial and error to decide how to make the hand prints and Mitchell ended up with a purple hand for a couple of days.  I finally found that just inking our hands with CTMH ink worked perfectl...

Later Sk8r

Image
Here are the rest of my Later Sk8r pages as requested from the blog hop.  I appreciate all the kind words I received and the interest in more of my work.  I am happy to share.  These are the pages that we did at our last club meeting.  If anyone else is interested in joining our monthly club then just let me know and I will send you the details.  It's great fun and we accomplished a lot this past month.    This first layout if the workshop kit layout.  I changed up the title a little and used some dimensional elements and the tiny epoxy letters.  I love these little letters.   Here is a close up of the title.   These two layouts are both from the stickease pack.  I love that these layouts can be done so fast.  It only takes about 40 minutes to complete each of these layouts.  Super fast and super easy.  The hardest part is selecting your pictures.    Thanks for looking an...

Upcoming Workshop I'm still working out the details for this upcoming workshop and will provide them when they are available.  This is a little matchbook mini album with lots of room to add pictures and journalling.  It's a great gift for Father's Day.  I am thinking that I might pair it with a gift for Mother's Day and have both workshops at the same time.  I'd love to know if you might be interested.  The cost for this will be under $10.

Another inspired project

Image
Here is another project that I completed just last weekend. It was inspired mostly from Heidi Swapp and most of the product is hers.  I'm so happy that some of her product is now available at Michael's stores.     This is my first official Memory File project.  I decided that it was time I scrapbooked some of myself.  I went through my boxes of old pictures and this project includes some of my favourite ones.  The cover has a little bit of all my favourite lines.  The black mat is from Teresa Collins' Vintage Finds.  The banner is from the  CTMH You & Me kit .  The letters and ribbon are from (Mist)-a-bles and the rest is Heidi Swapp.   So, I love Mustard Colorshine.  If you don't know what Colorshine is then you really need to see it in person.  It has a wonderful iridescence.  I used a ton of it on this project but the mister broke somehow and I didn't manage to e...
