Project Catch Up!
I decided that since I have so many projects that I haven't posted and wanted to I would just do one post with a whole bunch of them. If there are any projects you see here that you would like to see more of then please let me know. I am happy to share more details and pictures.
1. Calender Gift
I made this cute little calendar as a donation for my work golf tournament. It's something that I wanted to try for quite some time. The calendar itself is a free download from Heidi Swapp's blog and the rest is a mix of things that I had on hand. The majority of the embellishments are from Close to my Heart and I bound it all with my Cinch.
2. Flip Stand
I knew when I saw the Designed Decor Flip Stand that I had to make something fun with it. I don't have a lot of pictures of my older kids around the house so I thought this would be a fun way to show them off. I used the CTMH Cricut cartridges to cut out many of the pages.
3. Cards
I don't make very many cards but when I do I end up spending a lot of time on them. Here are a few of them.
Teacher thank you card
Wedding card
Good luck card
4. Convention Album Contest
I can't believe that I never posted this layout. I truly love it. Every time I look at it I fall in love with it. This was the first layout that I made for the album contest at the Close to my Heart convention last summer. I spent a lot of time on this layout and it really was the best one that I submitted. I love the little shaker windows and the fringe that I cut by hand. This is the one and only layout that I've ever sewn on. I really like the look that gives but it still doesn't inspire me to spend the time to do more sewing. Maybe one day I will do a little more sewing, but who knows.
Here is another layout that I submitted. I love this one also but it doesn't have the same detail as the previous one.
5. Scrapbooking Me
I've recently completed a few projects that document me. I've had a lot of fun doing this and truly believe that we all need to remember to tell our own story. I think I might do a separate blog on this subject but for now here is a small glimpse of one of the projects that I finished recently.
I've been making a lot of home décor items lately. These are all inspired by Pinterest. I don't spend a lot of time on Pinterest but once you start looking around there it's really hard to stop. I have quite a list of things that I want to make on my Pinterest boards.
I didn't really intend to make this ribbon wreath but I bought the frame to make a Christmas ball wreath and then when I started I realized that this frame wouldn't work. Then I had this frame and had to do something with it. The addition of the paper flowers and the saying came after it was all done and I wanted to add a little something to it. They are from the retired Sparkle and Shine kit.
I love these glass blocks. This was one of the first things that I pinned. I've made two of them now and really want to keep making them but don't have anywhere else to put them. They're really easy to make and I did them in about an hour each.
7. Rock the Block
Well, I've had these blocks for quite some time now. I had some ideas on what to do with them but I just wasn't inspired enough to create anything before now. After Christmas we bought a new tv for our basement. Once it was all set up with the new Ikea cabinet I started to accessorize it. I needed a little something to sit on my books and then it came to me. I was inspired by a photo in one of the Idea Books which had the blocks in a row tied with a ribbon. I also had these new family photos that I hadn't used yet so it worked perfectly.
That's it for now. I probably still have a bunch of others that I haven't taken photos of yet. I'll try to get to them soon. I'd love to hear what projects inspire you and what you would be interested in seeing here. I appreciate any feedback and questions.
