September Team Blog Hop
Welcome to our monthly team Blog Hop featuring projects made with Close To My Heart Cricut Cartridges. If you have just hopped onto my blog, you can start here as this is a circular hop, but if you get lost you can find your way by going to Brae's blog at http://thebrae-er.blogspot.com for a full list of participants. If you came from Tamara Lisowski's blog then you are in the right place!
We hope that you will take the time to leave comments on our posts, as we love to get feedback from our viewers....whether it was something that you really liked or some new technique that was used that you would like to learn how to do....by leaving us comments, we get to hear what you like, and what you want to see. Thank you… now on to our hop!
I am so happy that CTMH now has a third Cricut cartridge! It is called Artbooking and is focused on scrapbooking layouts and mini albums. It has some amazing images that can be used for all kinds of projects and I'm sure that they will appear on most of my projects from now on.
At first I wasn't sure what to make until I discovered these photos that were sent home at the end of school this June. I love this monster that Mitchell made and only just got rid of it this past month (it was falling apart).
I used images from multiple keys instead of just copying one of the premade layouts. Mainly because I had no control over the size of my photos and I really loved the photo mats.
For the title cluster I cut out the words twice and just offset them for a shadow look. I added an Irresistibles chipboard, pin clip and black hemp for embellishments and also some stamps images from the Artbooking coordinating stamps.
For the cluster on the right I again used stamps from the Artbooking coordinating stamps and more pin clips. I attached the pin clips using the slate washi tape. If you have any questions about anything on my layout just let me know. I'm always happy to help with tips and tricks. The next stop on the Hop is Kim's Cherry Street Creations. Thanks for hopping along with us - we hope we were able to inspire you to create your own projects from those that you have seen along the way. Join us again next month when we will feature items that give thanks.
