Layout featuring Picture My Life Cards

Image
Did you know that Picture My Life cards make great layouts? At one of the CTMH events we were shown how to create this adorable layout with PML cards .   Such a great idea and so simple.  It only takes a few minutes to put together one of these layouts. The gold polka-dot washi tape also makes the layout really look great.   Did you notice that both pages are basically the same layout?  I hope you enjoyed my layout.  I'd love to hear what you think.  Please leave me a comment below.

Urban Workshop Layouts

Image
I just love the new Urban collection!  I hope you that you like it as much as I do. I completed the workshop layout.  It can be completed using the Cricut Artistry cartridge.  This new cartridge has some amazing shapes on it, just as you would expect from CTMH.  I love these little badge buttons from the Urban Assortment .  I also completed the second layout from the workshop kit.  Well, it's basically the same layout.  I didn't want to use the peacock cardstock for the background so I switched up the papers.  I really like how the papers compliment the photos.  If you would like to see the instructions, you can find them here .  Below is the CTMH version of the alternate layout.   I hope you enjoyed my layouts.  I'd love to hear what you think about my version of the alternate layout.  Please leave a comment below.

Team Brae-er Album

Image
This year we've been focusing our team activities on connections.  Part of that includes team challenges and events. I've started my team album and really like that I have a reason and home for my scrapbooking adventures.  When I complete a monthly challenge my team leader sends out new PML cards for me to include in my album.  I try to attend every event I possibly can.  I'm so glad that Close to my Heart is making an effort to have events in Canada. I hope you enjoyed looking at my team album.  Of course if you would like to be a part of such a fun team just leave me a note in the comments below.

Studio J layouts

Image
I completed a whole bunch of Studio J layouts when they were on sale in July.  I was able to get so much closer to being caught up on my memory keeping.  Studio J is a fantastic way to scrap lots of photos really fast.  Some of my layouts are from the new express collection and these ones are super quick to complete because all you have to do it insert the photos and then add some journaling.  I bet you can tell which ones are which!  If you would like any tips or info on Studio J then just add a quick comment and I'll get in touch.  I hope you enjoyed looking at my layouts.

CTMH Convention Part V

Image
Here is my final piece of art from Convention 2013.  This is a mini book that I made for my roommates.  I also decided to make one for myself.   I made the front cover in Photoshop using some graphics that I downloaded.  My intent was for it to be a sort of autograph book but it didn't really turn out that way. Instead I just filled it with some pictures and memorabilia.    It's a cute little book that holds some key memories as well as some of the connections that I made.  A couple of little pockets hold business cards from fellow consultants and other little bits and pieces. I added a little signature on the back.  I hope you enjoyed my Convention memories.  You can find the other below. Part 1    Part    Part 3     Part 4

Zoe Workshop

So I'm a little behind on my blog posts again.  I finally managed to take pictures of lots of my projects again.   Here is my Zoe Workshop layout.  I really love this paper pack.  It's so adorable and works for pretty much any photo.   If you interested in creating you own Zoe layout you can purchase it here .   Thanks for stopping by and if you are interested in coming to my monthly club to create layouts like this then just drop a comment and I'll give you all the details.

CTMH Convention 2013 Part IV

Image
Welcome to part IV of my CTMH convention layouts.  If you missed my other layouts then you can find them here . This is the second layout that we were given at convention.  I love how simple yet very pretty it is.  It includes some random tone on tone stamping on the base pages.  I used a chipboard embellishment that I was given to put on my badge as a for symbol first time attendees, I believe.  I really wanted to include it somewhere and it fit perfectly with this layout. A tradition during convention is to exchange roommate gifts.  I decided to make a mini book for my roommates and was given this Disney pin by one of them.  I love the pin because it's not something I would buy myself but it's a great keepsake from our resort.  I love that I was able to fit it onto this layout.  My other roommate generously gave us lots of Disney embellishments which you can find throughout my layouts. Stayed tuned for my next and final layout in my con

CTMH Convention 2013 Part III

Image
Here you will find the secret component in my Convention layouts.  I used a retired True-Fit Folio to hold all of the larger memorabilia type items as well as some space for additional photos. You can find this hidden behind my memorabilia layout shown here.   I purchased the CTMH official cd of all the images captured during convention.  It's a great way to get some of those photos that you just couldn't get properly and it includes all the artwork featured at convention!     I was running low on the convention paper so I decided to make my own B & T paper by random stamping with tone on tone.  I love how the background above turned out.  Inside you can see some of our adventures in the parks.  We had two nights in which we chose to go to the theme parks with our FREE tickets from CTMH!  What a great perk of convention. I also included the pocket that we were given at the hotel with our pertinent information in it and it is a great spot to kee

Later Sk8r PML Layout

Image
Here's another pocket scrapbooking layout.  I'm finding these a lot of fun but sometime a little challenging.  They are quite different than traditional scrapbooking so sometimes I have a hard time deciding what I should do. I usually follow a pattern or use a how to book for my layouts but with PML I just do what I think works.  The Later Sk8r PML kit was perfect for this layout.  It includes lots of sports images in addition to lots of others.  I added a flip flap onto the right side as I had just a couple extra photos that I really wanted to include.  They fit perfectly on the PML pages . I also included some retired enamel shapes and enamel stars .  I hope you enjoyed seeing my layout and are inspired to create something fun of your own.

Project Life, CTMH & Heidi Swapp

Image
I've started to create some Project Life layouts in order to try to catch up a little on my scrapbooking.  I wanted to see if it would be faster and easier and I've got quite a stash now of page protectors and cards. This layout uses Heidi Swapp's really cool pocket pages.  They are larger than 12x12 as you will see below.  Each of these pages has a flip out portion that allows you to add way more photos and journalling.   Don't you just love how much these hold?  I used the CTMH Seaside paper pack and PML cards .  I added a selection of wood embellishments from many different sources.  In order to have them all coordinate together I used the Shin Han touch twin marker in bronze .  I also added some other coordinating colours.   I hope you enjoyed looking and are inspired to make something fun of your own.
