Sidekick Saturday February 17 Prompt

Image
The theme for Sidekick Saturday on Feb 17 was LOVE. Yes, that was almost two months ago! I’m still trying to catch up on these prompts. Also note that I’m using my full size planner instead of the Sidekick.  I’ve had this little paper cup sitting on my desk for a while as I really like the watercolour hearts. I knew it would be a good inspiration for a project.  Instead of actually trying to draw the hearts with a brush and watercolours I just WATERCOLOUR STAMPED them!  Have you ever tried this technique?  It’s really easy and the results look just like you painted them! I wanted to insure that my page would coordinate nicely in my planner, so I chose a piece of paper from the new Petal Pink pack. It ties in perfectly with my previous page! You can see how that page came together here .  I added some dark pink & black cardstock from my stash and used some Abandoned Papers on the pockets.  You can see the full process video on my YouTube channel.  I used the following Elizabeth Craf

Quick Planner Page

Image
Hi there! Today I want to share a simple Journal Page. I had some left over pieces from a previous planner page and decided to quickly decorate a blank page in my Art Journal.  I inked all of the edges with some brown ink to distress/age them a little. I used a glitter brush over the black mesh to add some shimmer, unfortunately it doesn’t show well in the picture.  Very simple but cute and it matches so well with its companion page.  Please watch my process video below to see all of the details and what products I used.  Thanks so much for stopping by and have an AMAZING day!

Journal Together 2024 April Prompt - Emboss Resist

Image
Hi there, today I’m sharing the journal pages that I made during a Facebook Live on the Elizabeth Crafts Facebook page.  I started by stenciling some VersaMark onto paper from the Abandoned Papers pack. Then I heat embossed with clear embossing powder. Next I rubbed a dark brown ink over top of the entire paper.  I cut out the decorative pieces using the Artist Trading Coin, Border Flower, Floral Inserts, Budding Florals and the Art Journal specials dies.  I stamped the wavy circles with the Artist Trading Coin stamps and inked distressed all of the edges with brown ink.  I used my mini pancake maker to melt the wax beads and create the seals. You should definitely check out the video if you’re interested in how that works. I forgot to highlight the seals during my video but did it after using a dark brown alcohol marker.  Thank you for stopping by. Be sure to watch the video on the  Elizabeth Crafts Facebook page All of the ECD products I used in this project were available at the tim

Sidekick Saturday February 3 Prompt

Image
Hi everyone, today I'm sharing another planner page that I made for the   Elizabeth Craft Planners & Journaling Facebook   group Sidekick Saturday prompts. I’m still playing catch up on these prompts. The prompt for February 3 was Arts & Crafts. I decided to use some stamps from ECD and do dome colouring with my pencil crayons. I started by die cutting some corrugated cardboard that I salvaged from some packaging. I tore off the one side exposing the corrugated parts. I wasn’t worried about this being perfect as it looks cool with some bits still left attached. I used the Art Journal Specials ATC stitched mat to cut them out.  Next I stamped and cut out the pencil from CS295 Journal Your Life and the vase from CS304 Back in Time. The pencil doesn’t have a matching die but it was easy to fussy cut.  Then I choose a few colours from my very large pencil crayon collection and coloured in the images. I also stamped and die cut the stamp and clip from the Journal Your Life stamp

March Journal Together

I created this journal page for the ECD Art Journal Specials Facebook page March Prompt which is "paste". I choose the paper to coordinate with the pages already in my art journal. I added a pocket and a ticket. It looks great in my journal. Be sure to watch the full process video on my YouTube channel. Stamp Kissing Journal

Image
I recently created a fun little reel in Instagram to show how to create an image with Stamp Kissing.  I had to test it out a few times so I didn't want the test images to got to waste.  I decided to create a little Art Journal with them. I used the script stamp from the Script from the Past set overtop of my “failed” stamp kissing attempts. Each page was double sided so I need to create a project that would allow both sides to be visible.  I cut out some spines from the retired puzzle page die, folded and inked the edges with a brown ink.  I used my double sided tape to secure everything together. I didn’t really attach them evenly so it only folds in one direction, lol. I’ll remember that if I make another project like this.  Next I added some versamark stamping using the new Plusses and More stamp set and heat embossed with a couple of powders I had in my stash. I also stamped the stitching around the edges using the new Stitched Borders stamp.  My next step was to add some spl

Sidekick Saturday Jan 20 Prompt

Image
Hi everyone, today I'm sharing another planner page that I made for the   Elizabeth Craft Planners & Journaling Facebook   group Sidekick Saturday prompts. The prompt for Jan 20 is MEMORIES, so  I choose a couple of old photos to use on this page. I cut my photos using the dies from the Torn 2110 die set from the new Art Journal Elements collection. Then I matted them on the ATC backer. I used the back of my previous planner page for a base and cut this lovely text paper with Planner Essentials 38 to place over top. I inked the base with Peeled Paint Distress Oxide to show through the splatter openings. I added the beautiful butterfly from the Ornate Butterfly 2112 set, also from the new collection. You can see the full process video on my YouTube channel.  Thank you for stopping by and have an AMAZING day! ECD Sidekick Saturday Prompt

Image
Hi everyone, today I'm sharing a fun ATC project that I made for the Elizabeth Craft Planners & Journaling Facebook group Sidekick Saturday prompts. I am really enjoying creating Artist Trading Cards, so I thought it would be fun to combine them with a planner page!  Even though the prompt is for the Sidekick size I decided to use a regular size planner page. The prompts in the planner group started in January, so I'm a little behind. This is my first prompt for Jan 6 which is Letters - Text. I found a package of fun postage stamp holders at my local thrift store  and thought they would make a great pocket page. I used the stamps, dies and stencils from the new Art Journal Elements collection. I used the new number stencil from the collection on my base page with distress oxide inks.  Numbers still count as text, right? I used an older Art Journal stencil for the ATC background and then stamped with new and older Art Journal stamps. Even though the pockets in the base page
