10 Things Part 2

Image
Welcome to Part 2 of my 10 Things project.  I love how this one looks so different from the first but still has the same pocket and Cricut title.  For Nick's layout I choose the retired Game On papers.  I used lots of assorted accessories. Both of these pages will be used for title pages in the boys scrapbooks.  I rarely create single page layouts so when I fill up a scrapbook I have to remember to create a single page for the front and back.  Thanks for looking and I hope you're inspired to create something fun too!

10 Things Part 1

I've been hoarding these 10 Things Pockets for quite some time now.  I finally decided it was time to use them.   Since Mitchell is wearing super hero type pajamas in the picture I decided that I would use the retired Superhero paper and rub-ons.  I love how great they look.   I used the CTMH Cricut Artbooking cartridge to cut out the "10 things" title. Stayed tuned for Part 2 of my 10 Things project.

Eclectic Layout

Image
Typically I post things that I've made with Close to my Heart products since I'm a consultant and want to promote the products I sell and love.  Like anyone though, there is always other products that I like, buy and use.  This layout is an example of that.  It includes products from quite a variety of companies.     I started with a pattern from the CTMH Make it from your Heart V2 pattern 18.  From that I looked through all of my paper packs to see what I could use that matched the photos.  Since they are all in a series I wanted to do my best to have the papers coordinate as best as I could.  Each paper is from a different manufacturer which is a huge departure for me.  The main reason that I love CTMH is because everything coordinates so well together but this time I just couldn't find the right CTMH B&T for my pictures.   I used embellishments from many different places and am really happy with how this tur...

Dream Pop Part 2

Image
Welcome to part 2 of my Dream Pop series.  I am excited to share all the great layouts that I made with just this one paper pack. I found the inspiration for this layout here .  I really like the colour combination of this one.  I think I might actually be able to find pictures that would suit this one.     I'm not sure if you noticed or not but I actually used this same title on one of the layouts in part one of the Dream Pop posts.  I took two of the layouts on a crop to finish embellishing them and forgot that I had already used this title.  It's so cute and kind of generic so I picked it twice!! This layout just came together by trying to match up some of the papers that were left.  Sorry, for some reason this picture didn't come out very clear. I used more pink glitter gems on this layout.  I'm really starting to use the Artfully Sent cartridge for  layouts.  These cards are great for titl...

Dream Pop Part 1

Image
The Dream Pop paper pack was a special from Close to my Heart for National Scrapbooking month in May 2013.  I've had this paper since then and really hadn't used it.  I think the main reason that I didn't use it was because of the amount of pink in it.  I love the paper but as the mother of two little boys I don't have a lot of uses for pink and flowery paper.  I kept pulling it out and then putting it back so I finally decided that I would just go ahead and put together some layouts with it.  Here is part one of my layouts.   I found the inspiration for this layout here .  It was a lot of fun to work with these bright colours.  I realize as I post this that I did intend to stitch the hearts on the sides but I forgot.   Of course I used the CTMH cricut cartridges for the title and the hearts.   I also added pink glitter gems to give it some sparkle.  They matched so nicely.   This layout just came ...

Hopscotch Layout Inspired by Pinterest

Image
I always start my scrapbooking layouts by reviewing my pictures and finding a pattern that suits them before even printing them.  Sometimes that means using a CTMH pattern and sometimes it means using a pattern I find on the internet.  I always start with something as my inspiration though, even if in the end it looks very different.  This layout was inspired by one I saved on my Pinterest board . The original post can be found here . Since I usually create double page layouts and this was just a single page, I needed to figure out how to the right page would look.  It was pretty simple though and I think it turned out quite well.   I used the new Hopscotch Workshop kit and the coordinating complements .  This kit is only available until the end of March in the first Seasonal Expressions Idea Book.  The frame is a photo mat cut from the Cricut Artbooking cartridge.  I used the arrows that were cut out and just flipped them over...
