ATC Prompt Circles

Image
Hi again. Today I’m sharing my ATC’s for the Elizabeth Craft Designs July ATC prompt. The prompt this month is “circles”. I started out by cutting the cards from the Abandoned Papers collection using the stitched ATC die from the original ATC Specials Kit.  My next step was to run them through a couple of embossing folders I had in my stash. Each one has a different circle pattern.  Next, I used my brayer to apply some die ink to the embossed circles.  Once the embossed circles were coloured I used the same ink to edge distress each card.  I used the same ATC Specials kit to cut out bases for my cards using brown cardstock that coordinates nicely with my patterned paper.  I ink distressed the edges of the bases with my light brown ink and stamped the back with the coordinating stamp from the ATC Specials kit.  I attached the cards to the bases.  I pulled out the hot air balloon stamp from set CS361 Around the World. First I mounted it to my bloc...

Remember Moments Art Journal

I’m back again sharing another page in my Race Day Art Journal with you.  For this page I added a pocket which I cut using the 2159 Remember die set (the same set used to cut the base pages).  I tucked in a photo and a journaling ATC card which I cut using the 2163 Journal Sleeves Fillers 1 die set. I just love cutting out my photos with dies. It looks so great! I used stamps from sets CS363 Passport Stamps & CS364 Textures to add some more details to my Coffee Dyed paper. I stamped with Vintage Photo oxide and then added clear heat embossing powder to give it a nice shine.  On the right page I double matted my photo with more dies from the Journal Sleeves Fillers 1 set and added a sentiment from the CS365 Travel Phrases stamp.  I stamped my title using the CS360 Wonky Letters stamp. You can see the quick process video below.  You can find all the products I used on this project on the Elizabeth Craft Designs website or in your local craft store....

Remember Moments Art Journal

I’m happy to share another page in my Race Day Art Journal with you.  For this page I used the Romance die set to cut my photos. Although the set doesn’t come with a mat layer I was able to cut my own by tracing the outside of the die! I used the CS364 Textures stamp set to add some extra dimension to the lovely Coffee Dyed papers.  You can see my process video below of how it all came together, including how to cut your own photo mats.  You can find all the products I used on this project on the Elizabeth Craft Designs website or in your local craft store.  Thanks so much for stopping by. Have yourself an AMAZING day!

Altered Art Journal Cover

Image
Today I want to share the altered Art Journal cover I made for my new Day Trip journal.  I used an embossing folder to add more texture and various mixed media paints, wax and paste to distress and add the title.  I even did the same to the back! You can see all the details and process in this short video from my YouTube channel.  I hope you enjoyed this fun project. Let me know in the comments if you’ve ever tried to alter an Art Journal cover.  Thank you for stopping by and have an AMAZING day!
