Sunshine and Warm Breezes - March Team Blog Hop

Welcome to our monthly team Blog Hop featuring projects that make you think of SUNSHINE & WARM BREEZES.  If you have just hopped onto my blog, you can start here as this is a circular hop, but if you get lost you can find your way by going to Brae's blog at http://thebrae-er.blogspot.com for a full list of participants. If you came from Sheri Ballantyne's blog then you are in the right place!

We hope that you will take the time to leave comments on our posts, as we love to get feedback from our viewers....whether it was something that you really liked or some new technique that was used that you would like to learn how to do....by leaving us comments, we get to hear what you like, and what you want to see. Thank you… now on to our hop!

I'm very excited to share my first My Crush Book with all of you.  This is a new type of scrapbooking for me and I'm not very good with just sticking things down without a pattern and lots of planning but I have to say that I truly loved creating this.  It was so fast and so easy and I love the way it turned out.

It's great how easy it is to add things into these books.  I used lots of flip flaps in different sizes.  It allows you add more photos or some memorabilia. There are also coordinating embellishment packs with stickers, letters and assorted cards.

Since my parents were moving this past summer, after being in the same house for over 45 years, they needed to do a little cleaning out.  That meant that I was happy to bring home a whole stack of childhood photos.  This was the perfect project for them.  I sorted my photos by age, event and subjects.  then I started to find the best page to suit each group.  I still can't believe how fast and easy it was.

I also found this project to be so rewarding.  It was fun to look back and remember little things that the pictures triggered.  Many of those things weren't in the picture or even necessarily related to the picture but they brought back an important memory that I was able to record.  Scrapbooking about yourself also brings out a sense of worth and pride and I highly recommend it for everyone.

The next stop on the Hop is Brae Montgomery.  Thanks for hopping along with us - we hope we were able to inspire you to create your own projects from those that you have seen along the way.  Join us again next month when we will feature "Our Favourite Things".
