Completed ATC Set

Image
I finished a set of ATC’s and I’m so happy with them. I’m not sure that I’m going to want to trade any of them!!  You may have seen the post where I created my first Artist Trading Card and I had so much fun that I had to make more.   These little cards really are so much fun to make and are a great creative outlet!  I have to say that it is so freeing to make something that doesn't have to include photos.  I never would have thought that!  Be sure to check out my process video on how I made these fun little cards and what products I used. ATC Folder

Image
I made this simple Artist Trading Card folder to hold a few new cards. I used paper from Reminiscence The Book 5 and the original one.  I started by cutting my base with the file folder from the Journal File 2 set. The title cluster is created using File 2 as well as FileXL 1.  On the inside I stamped a couple of images using CS303 Me Time as well as adding a few more die cuts. I created the pockets on the right using the Sidekick Essentials 28 File Folder page. I trimmed it down to fit, which it did very nicely. The tags were cut out from the book and are just the right size for ATC’s!  I decided to make them into a pocket so I grabbed some coloured vellum from my stash to add to the windows.  The inserts were also cut directly from the book and fit so nicely into the pockets.  I hope you enjoyed this little folder and that it will inspire you to create something of your own. I’d love to know if you do.

My First Artist Trading Card!

Image
I'm so excited to share my very first Artist Trading Card with you!  As part of the Elizabeth Craft Art Journal Design Team I am trying something new.  I really enjoyed creating this adorable little card.  ATC's are 2.5" x 3.5" so they are not very big but they can hold so much wonderful art! I started this card with watercolour paper and I used watercolours to create the background.  I tried a watermarking technique which worked but is basically covered up on the finished card.  Then I added some paste through a stencil.  I added some fun glitter paste to the butterfly diecuts and then assembled it all together. You can see exactly how I created this card in my YouTube process video.
